The Directors and staff of Project-emc have delivered many major projects & recruitment campaigns over the last ten years, below are some of the most recent projects highlighting the key skills and industries.
GSMR | Client: Network Rail
As part of Network Rail’s aim to improve key communication & upgrade telecoms, we undertook a series
of telecoms engineering projects. This includes managing and co-ordinating the laying trackside cables,
including troughing cables underground, and the installation of telecom masts at key locations along the
track.
As Network Rail works to upgrade its fixed line telecoms to improve communications between drivers,
signalmen and other key personnel. Project-emc have worked with the Client on a series of key projects as
part of the scheme.
All the projects had a specialist project manager in place overseeing all the work of our safety engineers,
protection staff as well as cabling and surveying specialists.
Thames Link
Working with the Managing Director for Rail we are providing the following team comprising of: Sub Station Power Projects Director, Engineering manager, HSQE Manager and Supervisor, Document Controller, Programme Planner. Our team are managing the delivery of the power works on Thames Link. We also have a bid team in place who has won significant additional work.
Waterloo Composite Works
Working directly for the Commercial Enhancements team at Network Rail we built a team to manage all the contracts on the WCW. This amounted to some 14 major contracts totalling over £33m. As a team we saved over 10% on variation claims and ensured the smooth and timely delivery of all contracts. The team comprised of Commercial Director, 3 x Senior QS, Construction Works manager, Document Controllers and Data management.
Signalling Contractor
Over the past 18 months we have worked with the Group board to establish a growth strategy for their Rail division. We have placed over 100 engineers and managers into their business. For this project we acted as the Clients agent short listing and negotiating salaries and training. The company now have a full management team from Director down with a head of HQSE Signalling Audit/Training through their Installation Managers and Team Leaders.
MOD
Working with the Power Director we have provided the Programme Delivery Manager Programme Governance Manager and Commercial Team. This is for MOD multi utility works across the UK and Europe.
EON
Working with the client EON to provide construction management support for the LNG delivery on the Isle of Grain Power Station Build. This entails the provision of sophisticated surveying equipment and personnel for around the clock surveillance.
Thames Link
Working directly with the Programme Director we headhunted and successfully placed his two immediate reports in the roles of Project Controls Manager and Principle Planning Manager.
