Case Studies

The directors of Project-emc have delivered major projects over the last twenty years, below are some of the most recent projects highlighting the key skills and areas of work that we delivered.

Route 7 Alliance | Client: AMEC SPIE

This was a major railway upgrade project of the West Coast line in the Manchester, Stockport and Crewe areas.
We took responsibility for key parts of the civil engineering and permanent way aspects on a project management basis.
An on–site office manager acted as a liaison with the client, managing all work undertaken by one of our Site Supervisor & Construction Managers.

Channel Tunnel Rail Link | Client: Amey

The high–speed Channel Tunnel Rail Link was a major engineering project to upgrade the track from London, through Kent and to the Channel Tunnel. The aim was to allow trains to run at higher speeds than had previously been allowed in the UK, in order to speed up the journey times.
On behalf of Amey Rail, we managed a series of sections of the work, approaching each as a self contained project that was planned with the client, and then undertaken by our staff.

Fixed Telecom Network Project | Client: Servi Rail

As Network Rail works to upgrade its fixed line telecoms to improve communications between drivers, signalmen and other key personnel. Project-emc have worked with NWR on a series of key projects as part of the scheme.
All the projects had a specialist project manager in place overseeing all the work of our safety engineers, protection staff as well as cabling and surveying specialists.

GSMR | Client: Network Rail

As part of NWR’s aim to improve key communication & upgrade telecoms, we undertook a series of telecoms engineering projects. This includes laying trackside cables, including troughing cables underground, and the installation of telecom masts at key locations along the track.
